Static Control’s New Chip Checker Debuts At World Expo

LAS VEGAS — Static Control released its new Chip Checker for HP inkjet chips at this year’s World Expo.The Chip Checkers are used to identify chip type, color and functionality and maintain the “new” status of the chip, eliminating the need for testing in a printer.
Static Control is in full production of these chip verification units that may be utilized for identification of loose chip in 'ID Mode' or verification of the proper chip on finished cartridges in 'Production Mode'. Utilization of the Chip Checker in 'Production Mode' will save valuable production time and provide confidence to customers that their finished cartridges have the right chip that works.
The HP Chip Checker, product code CHIPCHECKER-1 is available now and has been designed to be used with all HP tank and bag style cartridge chips and wide format chips. There are two adapters provided with each unit, one for ‘bag style’ chips, like HP 10 type and one for ‘tank style’ chips like the HP 02. Static Control’s Chip Checker works only with new Static Control chips and may not be used on OEM or competitive chips.
