Static Control Reaches Milestone With Its CTL Replenishment System

August 1, 2008 - page(s): 110
SANFORD, N.C. — Static Control’s chemical breakthrough that allows remanufacturers to reuse virgin OEM drums, used Static Control aftermarket drums and new Static Control aftermarket drums has reached a milestone with more than 1,000 remanufacturers now using the CTL Replenishment Systems worldwide.
This milestone was reached after just five months since the introduction of the CTL Replenishment System, and Static Control projects a continued 20 percent growth rate each month. By the end of this year an estimated 4,000 systems will be in place, saving remanufacturers up to $6 per rebuilt cartridge.

Worldwide, there are an estimated five million OPC drums replaced each month. Static Control believes that 75 percent can be replenished using the CTL Replenishment System. By using the system remanufacturers could save more than $17 million each month.

Remanufacturers can use the CTL Replenishment System on new 24 millimeter and 30 millimeter OPCs purchased from Static Control, along with matched components including multiple cycle CTL wiper blades and achieve two to three additional cycles after the new aftermarket cycle.

Laboratory testing has shown that for most 24mm and 30mm drums customers can achieve at least two additional cycles and, on some lower page count engines, can achieve three additional cycles.
All customers have to do is utilize the CTL Replenishment System on the OPC prior to installation into the cartridge. Static Control drums and their compatible engines qualified for this process include: HP 1020/1022, 1320, 1300, 1150, P2015, 1200, 4100, 2100 and Canon AX and VX.
