Staples Announces Dates for Reporting Q2 2008 Results, Discussing Acquisition of Corporate Express

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE) On July 11, Staples, Inc. announced that due to the timing of its acquisition of Corporate Express N.V. it will report results, and file its Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ending Saturday, August 2, 2008, on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 instead of on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, as previously scheduled. Accordingly, Staples, Inc. will hold its quarterly conference call to discuss second quarter 2008 results on September 3, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (7:00 a.m. Central Time). The company's second quarter 2008 results will include the results of Corporate Express for July 2008.
Additionally, on August 19, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (7:00 a.m. Central Time), Staples' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ron Sargent, and Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, John Mahoney, will hold a conference call to discuss the company's integration strategy for Corporate Express and the impact of the acquisition on Staples' future results.
