West Point Products and Multi-Laser Inc. announced that they have reached an agreement in principle for West Point Products to acquire Multi-Laser. The companies expect to finalize the transaction by the end of April.

Multi-Laser has been an industry leader in producing compatible imaging supplies since 1988. “Multi-Laser is a company with an excellent reputation in the industry, and has corporate values consistent with West Point Products. We are extremely happy to have Multi-Laser join the West Point Products family,” said Tom Day, CEO of West Point Products.

West Point Products intends to have a significant Canadian presence including a sales office, distribution center, and production operations. “Canada is a significant market place for West Point Products and the acquisition of Multi-Laser gives us the necessary foothold to better serve our Canadian customers,” said Day. “We will now be able to service the Canadian market with a more extensive range of products and distribution capabilities.”

Multi-Laser has also been a leader in bringing cutting-edge print management solutions to market. “Our two companies have complementing strengths, and similar cultures, so joining with West Point Products is a natural progression for us,” said Brian Cosgrove, CEO of Multi-Laser. “We are proud to be joining with such a well-respected leader in our industry, and we look forward to growing together and bringing exciting new products and services to our customers,” said Cosgrove.

West Point Products has been a leading producer of compatible imaging supplies since 1972 and is both ISO9001:2000 and STMC certified. Upon completion of the acquisition of Multi-Laser, West Point Products will produce exclusively in the United States and Canada.
