It’s a fact that is supremely evident in our annual “State of the Industry” article. To borrow a phrase from the article, “What was once emerging has now arrived.” Franchises, color, China, increased OEM competition, cost per page — these are all very distinct realities in today’s marketplace.
The changing times affect all of us. Print management and cost per page are no longer purely the domain of the copier dealer. When we began publishing articles on the topic they were placed under the category of “Trends.” Now, just a few years later, it seems silly to call something that is so obviously a major part of the industry landscape a “trend.” So we created a new section called, simply and appropriately, “Print Management.”
This is all part of the natural evolution of Recharger Magazine, which reflects the natural evolution of the industry. Quality cartridge remanufacturing, the heart of the industry, will always be a key element of both our print publication and trade-show education. But over the years we have evolved, and will continue to do so, to reflect the changing needs of a maturing and increasingly global industry.
