Océ Adds to Media Line

Océ added two new
offerings to its Océ Pro-SelectTM line of instant dry media: Océ
Pro-Select 8 mil Glossy Photopaper and Océ Pro-Select 8 mil Satin
Photopaper. Additionally, Océ Pro-Select Universal Backlit Film is now
shipping. The Océ Pro-Select media line is designed for 17- to 60-inch
photo and proofing printers including models from Océ, Epson, Canon and
HP.
Wide color gamut and accurate skin tones plus superior shadow
details with extremely low dot gain are standard with all Océ
Pro-Select photopapers. Océ Pro-Select 8 mil Glossy Photopaper (PSphoto8G) and Océ Pro-Select 8 mil Satin Photopaper (PSphoto8S)
include a bright white microporous topcoat with either a glossy
(PSphoto8G) or satin (PSphoto8S) finish. Both include a resin-coated
base to accept higher ink loads without cockling or bleed. The
specially designed topcoat provides a fast dry, water-resistant sheet
that is universally compatible. Prints are ready for immediate
finishing and can be run unattended on a take-up reel, without ink
drying concerns. The 8 mil caliper is ideal for prints that will be
further finished with an overlaminate or by mounting, where additional
thickness is not required. For applications requiring a heftier
material, Océ recommends Océ Pro-Select 10 mil Glossy Photopaper
(PSphotoG) and Océ Pro-Select 10 mil Satin Photopaper (PSphotoS).
Océ Pro-Select Universal Backlit Film (PSBCKLIT) is a
6.5 mil, fast dry, universally compatible PET (polyester) based inkjet
backlit film designed to create even light diffusion and maximum image
density. The matte surface on the reverse side reduces the impact of
fingerprints making it easier to handle right from printing to
installation. Océ Pro-Select Universal Backlit Film can be displayed
either backlit (best color fidelity) or with reflective lighting,
making it an ideal film for a wide variety of signage needs.
