Samsung announced the ML-3051ND and the ML-3051N monochrome laser printers which are designed for small and medium businesses that need an affordable, yet powerful network-ready printer.
The ML-3051ND and ML-3051N are powered by a 400Mhz processor and equipped with 64MB of memory enabling fast print speeds of up to 30 ppm with a first page out time of approximately 8.5 seconds, a 35,000-page-per-month duty cycle, 1,200-by-1,200-dpi resolution for sharp text and graphics and one of the lowest costs per page in its class-only 1.5 cents and the cost can get even lower when using Samsung's TonerSave feature. These compact printer models also provide flexibility and ease of use with a 550 sheet paper capacity (when fully configured), a 2 line LCD display and easy to use controls.
What differentiates these printers from one another is the ML-3051ND's auto-duplexing feature, which delivers duplexing speed of up to 21 ppm. This can save customers time and money, especially with larger printing jobs. Duplexing enables customers to print double-sided prints, as well as more advanced tasks such as booklet printing, which is ideal for presentations.
"The ML-3051ND and the ML-3051N are compact in size, but they are loaded with high-performance features that make them the perfect workhorse for small and medium size businesses," said Mark Meisberger, product marketing manager, printer products, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. "These printers not only provide an excellent productivity solution, but they offer it with a low total cost of ownership, which is an important factor in today's competitive business environment."
Both printers also offer both wired and wireless network printing with high-speed wireless network connectivity as well as Ethernet connectivity. Additionally, the printers provide advanced encryption and authentication for enhanced security. The ML-3051ND and ML-3051N are compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems and offer Hi-Speed USB 2.0, IEEE 1284 Parallel, and Ethernet 10/100 Base TX connectivity. The ML-3051ND and ML-3051N are available now for an MSRP of $349.99 and $249.99, respectively and can be purchased in select retail locations as well as through Samsung resellers and distribution partners.
Samsung also introduced the network-ready CLP-650N laser printer, with print speeds up to 21 ppm in black and color and standard Hi-Speed USB 2.0, IEEE 1284 Parallel, and Ethernet 10/100 Base TX connectivity. The printer offers an impressive duty cycle of 45,000 pages-per-month, an 850 sheet paper capacity when fully configured and a fast 600 MHz processor with 256 MB of memory built in (expandable to 512 MB). The printer also easily integrates into both Mac and PC environments with its built-in PCL6 and Postscript emulators. This flexible feature enables users in mixed computer environments, such as schools or graphic arts departments to incorporate the printer into the same network.
The CLP-650N provides a quick warm-up time, producing its first page in less than 16 seconds, a low cost per page of 2.4 cents in monochrome and 12.1 cents in color , sharp text and vibrant graphics with its 2400-by-600 dpi effective output, and quiet printing with its NO-NOIS engine technology.
"The CLP-650N is a durable workhorse of a printer that is ideal for small and medium businesses, the SOHO customer as well as education, government, and healthcare markets," said Tony Venice, senior solutions marketing manager, printer products, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. "Samsung is continually researching and striving to understand the needs of our customers. With the CLP-650N, we believe that we have achieved another innovative product that will help our customers continue to be productive and successful."
