Lexmark introduced several new printers including a new monochrome laser MFP and AiO and a color laser model.
The Lexmark X642e monochrome laser multifunction product (MFP), providing industry-leading technology in a value-priced package for all businesses. The X642e offers the fastest speed in its class, printing and copying at speeds up to 45 pages per minute. It includes legal-size, simplex scanning and fax capabilities standard for an estimated street price of $1,499. The X642e features a 5.7-inch monochrome e-Task interface, which can easily be customized to simplify complicated business processes at the touch of an icon. The touchscreen offers similar capabilities to the larger, 8-inch color touchscreen featured on higher-end Lexmark laser MFPs but at a lower price, making advanced technology accessible to more users. The X642e is the only device in its class to offer not only a touchscreen interface, but one that is adjustable for an optimal viewing angle. The X642e is also the first multifunction device in its class with the ability to scan to or print PDFs and images from a USB flash storage device. It can be configured to meet each customer’s needs with a variety of input options and features such as an optional duplexer. For customers concerned with security, the X642e comes standard with enterprise-level security features such as IPSec, SSL, SNMPv3 and 802.1x authentication.
The Lexmark X340 monochrome laser all-in-one (AIO) printer series, offering high speeds and powerful performance to improve productivity for small workgroups. The X340 series gives customers the convenience of printing, copying, faxing and scanning through one networked device that can be easily shared by multiple users. Its small footprint makes the device ideal for customers who want fast, multifunction performance where space is at a premium. The X340 series offers print speeds up to 27 pages per minute and includes two models. The X340n is supported by a 2,500-page toner cartridge and is available for an estimated street price of $349. For users that anticipate higher print volumes, the X342n can also accommodate a high-yield 6,000-page toner cartridge for a lower cost of printing and is available for an estimated street price of $399. The X340 series includes business-class PCL 6 emulation, 64MB of standard memory and a high-speed USB 2.0 port to process complex jobs quickly. Fax features, such as a 33.6 Kbps modem and 10 fax speed dials, ensure quick and easy faxing, and a 50-page automatic document feeder is included to help customers save time. The Lexmark X340 series also has an optional 500-sheet drawer for an estimated street price of $199 that can handle a full ream of most standard papers. So that most documents can be easily captured electronically, the X340 series features legal-size flatbed scanning in both color and black and white. A professional document management software package is also included to help customers easily organize electronic data and convert scanned documents into PDF files.
The Lexmark C500n color laser printer for small and medium business (SMB) customers looking for a versatile, reliable printer that delivers high-quality documents quickly and affordably. With fast speeds of up to 31 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome and 8 ppm in color and an estimated street price of $399, the C500n can easily serve as the primary printing device for customers who require color but also print large volumes of black and white documents. The C500n also comes standard with networking so the printer can easily be shared by several users in a small workgroup to further reduce costs. The C500n gives users the ability to precisely manage and adapt the color output to meet their personal preferences with independent color density control for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. It also features 1,200 x 600 dots per inch enhanced quality for printing vivid color photos and graphics. The C500n features a fast, host-based driver to quickly deliver output and is backed by Lexmark’s onsite repair warranty.
Lastly, the Lexmark 4600 scanner and Lexmark X646ef laser printer bundle, enabling enterprise customers to expand their laser printing capabilities with Lexmark’s industry-leading multifunction technology. The 4600 scanner allows users to add copy, scan, e-mail and fax functionality to their current printers. It has a legal-size flatbed scanner with single-pass, duplex scanning capabilities in color and monochrome and comes standard with enterprise-level security features such as disk wiping, IPSec, SSL and encryption. It features the same vivid color e-Task interface that is on Lexmark’s high-end laser MFPs, but because it is a separate device from the printer, it gives customers more ways to bring advanced multifunction technology to their workgroups. The 4600 scanner can be purchased separately to work along with T640 series of monochrome laser printers, which features print speeds ranging from up to 35 ppm to 50 ppm. This option allows customers who currently own networked T640 products to easily upgrade their existing printer fleet to multifunction devices. The scanner has an estimated street price of $2,099.
For users who are interested in purchasing a new MFP but also have extensive finishing requirements, Lexmark offers the new X646ef laser printer bundle, which includes the new 4600 scanner, a T644dtn laser printer, and finishing capabilities such as stapling and sorting at an estimated street price of $4,449. The X646ef is the first MFP in its class to feature a standard scan preview function to allow users to view a scanned document before it is processed. It is also the first MFP in its class to feature a USB port to allow users to scan to or print PDFs and images from a USB flash storage device directly from the operating panel. The X646ef is the only MFP in its class with a color touchscreen interface and offers the fastest print speed in its class at up to 50 ppm.
